Mani Monday – Simple and Cute

For this week’s nails I decided to go with a basic pink. I think pink goes with everything, especially a nice baby pink.

This is Little Miss Paris by Color Club.

Next week, I’m thinking I’ll do a nice glittery red now that Christmas is right around the corner!

What nail color are you rocking?

Mani Monday – Let’s Talk!

Hey guys! Here comes another Mani Monday! Even though the color is not a “holiday” color – Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate-, it is one pretty color.

This is Let’s Talk by Sinful Colors. It is a nice purple/blue color, the only color that I know that comes to mind that is similar to this is Purple Potion by Sally Hansen. Although the Purple Potion seems to have pink undertones.

For this manicure, I used 2 coats of the nail polish. This color is not opaque at all so you will need more than one coat. I was going through my nail polish collection to find Purple Potion and as I did that, I found my Sinful Colors topcoat. I used the topcoat, and I have to say that my nails are holding up better, I think this topcoat works better than the Wet n Wild topcoat – although it is not as shiny.

What are you doing this week? Are you celebrating Thanksgiving? Black Friday? What nail polish are you wearing right now?

Mani Monday – The Perfect Green

So if you know me, or have been following this blog, you know that I have been on the hunt to find the perfect green nail polish, and I think that I just found it. I scored when buying this nail polish. I was scrolling through Amazon when I found this deep green polish, it’s Off Tropic by Essie nail polish, I knew that I was going to get it, but then I procrastinated.

That same weekend, I went to Marshall’s and while browsing I found the nail polish, for only $3.99, how awesome was that?! Don’t sleep on stores like Marshall’s and TJ Maxx, you never know what you might find.

While you’re using this nail polish, you might think that this color is opaque with one coat, but I found that if you use one coat, your mani will end up steaky. For this nail polish, it’s best to use 2 coats. After I let the nails dry, I used my Orly top coat and was on my way.

This nail polish is amazing, it’s the perfect green for the fall and you can add a red nail as an accent for the upcoming holiday season. My only gripe with this nail polish (I think, could also be the topcoat I am using) is that it started to chip after a couple of days. My manicure did not last a week.

Mani Monday – Easy Halloween Nails!!!

Hey guys, here are some Halloween nails that anyone can do…trust me, if I can do them, you can too!

The first step is to paint your nails your desired color, for this one, I wanted my base to be white so you could see the designs better so I used Snow Me White by Sinful Nails. I used two coats and let them dry completely.

For the “nail art” – I am not an artist so..don’t judge. I put some drops of black and red nail polish on a paper plate. Then I took a pencil and a pen I didn’t use anymore. I dipped the pen and pencil in the color and drew lines to act as stitches and created the blood drip from my nails.

If I could go back and do them over, I would have either made the stitches smaller or just have done the bloody finger for all of the finger. These nails are not meant to be perfect so be creative and have fun!

Do you celebrate Halloween? If so, what are you doing?
