Hey guys! for this week, I decided to try a nail polish I’ve never done before. It’s Break The Ice by Wet n wild. My sister received a mini wet n wild collection a while back and she gave some polishes to me.
Here is the little bottle it came with. It’s so cute. I thought that the brush was not going to be workable but I was wrong. It was more or less the same thickness as other brands, but it was not wide like their normal-sized megalast polishes.
I love this color, but one thing I did not love was the application. The nail polish was streaky, I had to apply 4 (!) coats to achieve opacity. Here is how it looks like with the top coat on.
I would have loved it more if the polish was thicker and more opaque.
I think I’m going to play with some nail stickers for next week’s Mani Monday!
Let’s get back into the swing of this – it’s time for a Mani Monday!!
This week, I decided to recover from that awful manicure and go with a nice coral/orange color – perfect for summer.
This is Hazard by Sinful Colors. I believe that as far as inexpensive nail polishes go, Sinful Colors might be the best.
Although this color was a bit streaky – I had to use 3 coats on some of my nails, my nails were not goopy or sticky, like I felt with Mellow Yellow from Sally Hansen.
I topped the nail polish with my favorite top coat – the wet n wild wildshine Clear Nail Protector
What are you wearing on your nails right now?
For this week, I decided to mix and play around with different nail colors. I put on two coats of On A Trip by Wet n Wild and over that, I put a layer of Stellar Explosion by Sally Hansen. Since the glitter polish also serves as a top coat, this was all I needed for these gorgeous nails.
I love this color combination and this beautiful manicure is going to become one of my go-to’s.
What’s your favorite color/nail polish combinations?
For this week, I decided to go with something simple and classic – and nothing embodies that than having red nails.
I went with I Red A Good Book from Wet n Wild. I love Wet n wild nail polishes. Their brushes are my favorite, the wide ones. I find that when I use a wider brush, my nails are more uniform and they are less streaky.
I really loved the formula, although I felt like it took longer than other nail polishes to dry. Not too much, but I’ve had quicker nail polishes.
For next week, I have a couple of events (wedding, birthday party) and some new dresses that I want to wear so I am going to do a lilac/pastel color for my nails. I can’t wait to show you the nails and outfits.
What are you wearing on your nails?
I know I said I wasn’t going to do a Mani Monday because I’m redecorating my room, but I just had to.
This week I am wearing Black Satin from Rimmel London.
I love black because it goes with all my outfits, I think I’m going a lighter route next week.
What nail polish are you rocking this holiday week?
