For this week, I decided to sparkle. I went with Stevie by Zoya.
This is a beautiful lilac color with lots of glitter. This is one of Zoya’s pixie dust nail polishes which not only include glitter, but texture. I love it, these nail polishes remind me of the L’oreal Paris sparkly nail polishes I love.
What are you wearing this week?
For this week, I decided to go green…jazzy green. I’ve had this Sally Hansen, Jazzy Jade nail polish for a couple of years and I absolutely love this color of green. It’s bright but not Christmas-y. It makes my nails look like jewels and I adore it.
I used two coats of this polish along with a coat of the Wet n Wild nail protector/top coat. I don’t exactly remember how much it was, but I think I got it for under $1, so far so good. Although the first couple of times I used the top coat, it made the colors run. It works amazing with other Wet n Wild polishes though.
I need suggestions: I want to try other green nails, when I say green…I mean GREEN! Like forest green. What colors/brands do you suggest?
Sorry for no mani monday. Here’s what i wore this week, Gogo Girl by Sinful Colors
Hello everyone! For this week’s mani Monday, I did Zoya’s Thea color. I loved this color because it is a deep purple with tons of glitter. I have a nail polish similar to this one called Reign of Studs from L’oreal.
The color is beautiful but I found some differences between this one and Reign of Studs. Thea is not as opaque as Reign, I use one coat of Reign and I used 3 coats or Thea for my nails. Although the pixie dust from Thea is supposed to be glittery and have texture, I totally recommend using top coat on the nails because this is what happened after 3 days:
My nails became so chipped! I think it was a combo of applying 3 coats and not using a top coat. I wonder what would have happened if I used a top coat for this manicure. My hypothesis would be that they would have stayed on longer than this manicure. Ugh! Lessons learned, life goes on…
What’s your favorite sparkley/glitter nail polish?
I have an obsession with rompers. I love them, they are beautiful like dresses but they’re like shorts! Such a no fuss outfit, and I love anything with florals, so when I saw this romper at Forever 21, I had to have it.
I bought this in a size 2x because even though a 1x would fit, I find that they can be a bit too short on my body. I want to wear a romper, not some booty/cheeky shorts. If that’s you’re thing, go right ahead, but if not, size up.
I love the florals on the romper, perfect for summer and I love the bell sleeves that gives me a whimsical vibe. I love this so much.
You can buy this romper in stores and online for $19.99. I also have the other romper in the blue and rose pattern, so I definitely have had my fill for rompers this summer.
