Hello, it’s been a while. Sometimes when you’re not feeling it, you’re not feeling it. For this week, I decided to brighten my nails up! And what better way to welcome summer than a nice, bright, red manicure.
I’m wearing 2 coats of I Red A Good Book by Wet n’ Wild. It’s a beautiful red. I’m a huge fan of Wet n Wild because most of their colors are so beautiful, I love using the wide brush that they come with and they are relatively cheap.
How are you enjoying summer?
Hello, for this late Mani Monday I wanted to do some nails that were classic and what better than a pink polish. I love this subtle pink because it goes with everything and it makes me feel like I have my ish together.
I used Pinky Swear by Wet n Wild. This is one of their gel nail polishes, they are normally $5.00 but I got this color and some others from the 50% off bin at Five Below.
I used about 3 coats to make the color be opaque, and the results were beautiful…for like 5 minutes. This nail polish started to chip less than 24 hours after I applied it. I even topped it with the Hard As Nails Wet n Wild top coat and that didn’t work. This is one of those colors that are beautiful but the formula just isn’t there.
What color should I do next?
Happy first week of February. This month is all about red!
For this week, I used a Wet n Wild color called Marooned Over. I know I said I was going to try to limit my nail polish purchases this year but I had to have them, they were $2.49, originally over $5. What a score!
For this color, I used 3 coats. Normally I just use 2 but it was still streaky with 2. I also used Wet n wild top coat which helped with keeping my nails from chipping and keeping them shinny.
Should I do a classic red or go with a sparkly red for valentines week?
For this week, I decided to do a deep plum color. I chose Disturbia by Wet n wild.
I used two coats of this color to achieve this look. I love wet n wild nail polishes. They’re inexpensive and I love the wide brush they have.
One more purple week until January ends. I can’t believe we’re almost one month in.
Hey guys! for this week, I decided to try a nail polish I’ve never done before. It’s Break The Ice by Wet n wild. My sister received a mini wet n wild collection a while back and she gave some polishes to me.
Here is the little bottle it came with. It’s so cute. I thought that the brush was not going to be workable but I was wrong. It was more or less the same thickness as other brands, but it was not wide like their normal-sized megalast polishes.
I love this color, but one thing I did not love was the application. The nail polish was streaky, I had to apply 4 (!) coats to achieve opacity. Here is how it looks like with the top coat on.
I would have loved it more if the polish was thicker and more opaque.
I think I’m going to play with some nail stickers for next week’s Mani Monday!
